Jewelry Tutorial: Make a Wire-wrapped Bracelet Lesson 1

Here are basic, simple step-by-step instructions for making your own wire-wrapped bracelet, necklace or anklet. Whether you're a beginner or you've learned a few things about jewelry making already, my tutorial should offer some  tips to help you learn the amazingly versatile skill of wire wrapping.

Wire wrapping is a technique used in both elaborate wire sculpture jewelry and regular plain old jewelry making.  The wire wrapped bracelet in this tutorial is essentially a chain made of wire and linked by beads.  The tutorial covers the skills, materials and techniques needed to make this bracelet "chain," which is also adaptable as a necklace or anklet.

Many people think their first do-it-yourself jewelry project has to be small and simple, like earrings.  That's not true. Wire wrapping is easy - or at least, easier than it looks.

Once you've gathered all your materials together and mastered a few techniques through the exercises shown here, you'll have gained the skills you need to make your own original, unique custom jewelry that's perfect just for you—or for starting a hobby or making money with a jewelry-selling business.

Making jewelry is easy and fun, doesn't have to be that expensive, and is remarkably rewarding!
